Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Description of Service
Tongue is a speaking confidence training app that provides randomized speaking prompts, speech recognition-based practice sessions, and AI-powered feedback to help users improve their speaking skills. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
Subscriptions & Payments
Tongue offers a free tier with limited daily rounds and a paid subscription ("Tongue Pro") that unlocks additional features including unlimited rounds, customizable settings, all topic categories, and detailed AI feedback.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store.
- Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Use the App to generate harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, and code within the App are owned by Tongue and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Speech recognition will be perfectly accurate
- AI-generated feedback will be free of errors or suitable for any particular purpose
Tongue is a practice tool and does not replace professional speech therapy, coaching, or medical advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tongue shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
